Description
Whale shark watching has become one of the most sought-after activities to do when in Cebu. It operates in Oslob, a small town located in the southernmost part of Cebu, approximately 3 hours from the city. It has become popular due to the whale sharks or locally known as “butanding that are emerging and are freely swimming in the sea water. Visitors can enjoy snorkeling or swimming with the gentle giants with the assistance of the town’s local boat men.
To complete the fun, a visit to the Sumilon Island is a must. The island is best known for its clean and crystal-clear water and its breath-taking sandbar perfect for swimming, snorkeling and taking a lot of beautiful photos.
**NOTE: SUMILON SANDBAR IS CLOSED EVERY 3RD WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH FOR MONTHLY MAINTENANCE / CLEAN UP.
