The whale shark watching activity is an extraordinary experience one shouldn’t miss!
The whale sharks or locally known as “butanding” is the world’s largest fish. They are also called “The Gentle Giants”. They feed on tiny plankton, small fish and crustaceans. They are migratory and can be found in the warm waters around the world and often gather in large groups for feeding.
It has become a popular attraction when the whale sharks started to emerge and swim freely in the sea waters of Oslob, a small town located in the southernmost part of Cebu, approximately 4 hours from the city. Visitors can enjoy swimming or snorkeling with the assistance of the town’s local boat men.
